What is the Regeneration Credit?

It is a peer-to-peer payment for environmental services. People who regenerate degraded ecosystems earn Regeneration Credit (RC) tokens, and the impact behind each token is verified through a decentralized inspection process.

How does someone earn Regeneration Credit?

A regenerator registers a regeneration area and manages it over time. Inspectors visit the area and record its trees and species. That verified impact is then converted into RC through the protocol's pools.

How do I support the project?

Buy RC directly from a community member to hold a balance of the asset. You can transfer it freely, use it as a medium of exchange, or retire it for a contribution certificate.

What is a contribution certificate?

When a supporter retires (burns) their RC, they receive a certificate that proves they financed that amount of verified regeneration. Certified tokens are counted separately on-chain.

Who verifies the impact?

Inspectors, in a peer-to-peer process. They visit regeneration areas and record tree and species counts. Validators can review inspections and invalidate fraudulent ones.

Which blockchain does it run on?

The Sintrop Impact Blockchain. You can add the network to your wallet from the Network page and browse everything on the block explorer.

Which wallet do I need?

MetaMask. It is a self-custody wallet, meaning only you hold the keys and the funds, and for now it is the only wallet the apps integrate with. Install the MetaMask extension or app and create a wallet before you start.

How do I add the Sintrop network to my wallet?

Open the Network page and use the "Add to MetaMask" button, or add it manually with the ID, RPC and explorer shown there. You need the network configured before you can hold or move Regeneration Credit.

Is the code audited and open source?

Yes. The 22 core contracts were audited by Nethermind Security before going to mainnet, and every contract and interface is public on GitHub.

How is a tree's impact estimated?

Each recorded tree is standardized at an average of 100 kg of sequestered carbon. The RegenerationCreditImpact contract aggregates trees, species, carbon and area across the whole system.

Where can I see live data and users?

The home page shows the system's on-chain impact. The users portal at users.regenerationcredit.org lists regenerators, inspections and offset certificates, and is where certificate QR codes point.

Where do I download the apps?

On the App page: the mobile apps on the Google Play and App Store, plus the desktop core and APK releases.
